Robert Louis Stevenson
Born November 13, 1850, in Edinburgh, Scotland, Robert Louis Balfour Stevenson was the son of an engineer. Robert studied engineering, himself, and then law at the University of Edinburgh, but he had a natural inclination towards literature.
Soon, he became a serious writer and gave up engineering and law to write novels, essays, poems and works on travel. Robert also wrote music.
